The Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar is also unique. It is located on a hill above the Duoro River. A very special place worth visiting in Porto.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I took this photo during my week-long stay in northern Portugal\u2026I remember getting up in the morning to take photos on the Ribeira waterfront at sunrise. When I arrived I saw the sky in beautiful, warm colours. And although it was February, it was quite warm for this time of year. And while I was on the Ribeira waterfront, I noticed the Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar, with the beautiful colour palette in the background, which you can now admire in the photo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>O que o j\u00fari disse sobre a fotografia:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe dramatic lighting of the 17th century Monastery of Serra do Pilar across the Douro river from Porto Portugal, cannot be overstated. It&#8217;s contrasting golden colour highlights and offsets the cylindrical church and its foundations against the mauve\/peach canvas of the setting sun!
